Michael Bentley, the firm’s Managing Partner, went to University in Nottingham obtaining a degree in History & International Politics followed by a Post Graduate Diploma at Nottingham Law School before joining the firm in 1996. He is the Partner responsible for Wills, Probate and Care of the Elderly issues and acts as Attorney and Deputy for many clients.
He is also involved in Inheritance Tax Planning and is a member of the Law Society Probate Section. Michael also advises clients on asset protection and planning for care home fees.
He has a son who is a keen guitarist and sportsman. When not at work, Michael enjoys losing golf balls at Woodhall Spa Golf Club and trying to keep fit at the gym. Michael can also be found cycling, fishing or wasting his time and money on classic cars at Goodwood Road Racing Circuit.
Lisa is a Partner and head of the Family Law Department. Having studied Law at Exeter University, she completed her training contract at a large Commercial Practice in Nottingham before joining Anthony Clark & Co in 2000, becoming Partner in 2001. Lisa has experience in dealing with all aspects of Family Law which includes Divorce, Co-habitee disputes, Children Disputes and Injunctions. Lisa specialises particularly in dealing with complex financial matters arising from Divorce or Separation to include Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements.
Lisa is a Resolution accredited Specialist, Qualified Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer. Lisa is also the Chair Person and one of the founder members of Lincoln Resolution.
Lisa is married with one daughter. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, cycling and foreign travel.
Allison was admitted as a Solicitor in 1999 at the same time that she joined Anthony Clark & Co. Allison is a Senior Associate in the Family Law Department.
Allison is specialised in all areas of Family Law including Divorce, Financial Relief, Injunctions, Children Issues and Wealth Protection.
Allison has a particular interest in acting for clients in Financial Relief cases which involve substantial assets, pensions and businesses.
Allison is also an Accredited Specialist of the Law Society’s Children Panel and has authority to represent parents and children in Care Proceedings.
When not working, Allison enjoys shopping, travelling and spending time with her family and her two cats.
Tom is a solicitor and Head of the Residential and Commercial Property Department joining Anthony Clark & Co in September 2013. He graduated in Law from Hull University and thereafter obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law in York. Having lived in Lincolnshire for the majority of his life, he has previously worked for and gained invaluable experience with both large and small law firms.
Tom’s previous commercial experience working for a Lincolnshire News Homes Builder and Developer has proved a real asset and given him a wealth of in depth knowledge and practical hands on experience.
After his family (and the pets!) his other passion in life is motorcycling which he enjoys come rain or shine throughout the year.
Lisa joined Anthony Clark & Co in October 2011. Lisa studied Law at the Lincoln University and graduated in 2009. She then completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York in 2010. Lisa began her Training Contract in October 2013 and has gained a wealth of experience in both the Conveyancing and Family and Child Care Departments. Lisa is presently working in the Wills, Probate and Elderly Client Department closely alongside Michael Bentley and in our conveyancing department alongside Tom Scott. Lisa qualified as a solicitor on the 3 August 2015
In her spare time Lisa enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym, socialising with family and friends and going on holidays abroad.
Philip Dubut joined Anthony Clark & Co in 2013 having spent 22 years working with another local firm of solicitors. Philip works in both the family and civil departments. He has experience dealing with all aspects of family law including cases involving Children Services. Philip also deals with various aspects of civil law including housing, County Court Claim issues and personal injury claims.
Philip is a member of Resolution and is an accredited member of the Law Society Family Panel. Philip is also a director of the West Lindsey Domestic Abuse Service and a governor at the Lincoln Castle Academy.
Philip enjoys spending his spare time with his family and has a keen interest in classic cars.
Sarah, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, has a wealth of experience on which other members of staff draw. Sarah has now moved into the Costs Department and attends to Billing and Debt Recovery.
Diane graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 1998 with an honours degree in law. In 2009 she obtained the final conveyancing practical certificate with the Council of Licensed Conveyancers.
Diane has over 10 years conveyancing experience and specialises in all aspects of residential property transactions which includes sales, purchases, shared ownership properties, equity releases, re-mortgages and property transfers.
Diane joined Anthony Clark in August 2012 and thoroughly enjoys working for a traditional firm that still provides that good old fashioned personal service to their clients.
Diane relaxes in her time away from work, by beating men at squash (she wishes), pottering in the garden and eating quite a bit too.
Maria joined Anthony Clark & Co in 2012 after 10 years at a local firm. Maria initially joined to assist David Ford in the conveyancing department but following David Ford’s retirement, Maria has come into her own and has now built a case load in her own right. Following her wealth of experience Mara is able to offer a one to one approach dealing with all aspects of conveyancing from start to completion.
Maria enjoys socialising with friends and family in her spare time and foreign holidays.
Kaylea joined Anthony Clark & Co in 2013 alongside Philip Dubut. She started her legal career in 2004 as an office junior in a local firm and has progressed over the years to become a Legal Assistant. In 2013 Kaylea received the graduate level with CILEX and soon hopes to obtain fellowship. She has experience in both family law and civil matters including personal injury and continues to work for Philip Dubut. Kaylea became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives on the 16 September 2015.
Kaylea enjoys spending time with family in her spare time and going on holidays abroad.
Claire joined Anthony Clark & Co as an Office Junior in January 2002. Having successfully completed her NVQ in Business Administration and Customer Service, Claire progressed into the role of Legal Secretary in 2003. Claire works as a secretary to Allison Marshall and has acquired experience dealing with all aspects of family law including matters involving the Local Authority.
Claire enjoys baking, shopping and foreign holidays.
Diane has a wealth of legal experience having joined the firm in 1983. Diane’s entire working life has been with Anthony Clark & Co. She is secretary to Michael Bentley.
Diane has experience in a number of areas of Law including Dispute Resolution, Litigation and Wills & Probate.
Gill joined Anthony Clark & Co in September 2002 to undertake the role of Receptionist. Prior to joining Antony Clark & Co Gill was employed as an Office Manager in a well known local company. Prior to that Gill worked for the Army in Germany undertaking the role of Supervisor with 20 members of staff working under her supervision.
Gill is married with 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Gill very much enjoys spending time with her family. She has a very keen interest in the theatre and likes to take advantage of nights out at the theatre when visiting her family members in London.
Gill has been very fortunate with a wonderful experience of worldwide travel.

Carol joined Anthony Clark & Co in 1978 as an Office Junior having previously undertaken a Business Studies course at Lincoln College. Carol soon progressed into the role of Legal Secretary in 1979 and throughout her 36 years with Anthony Clark & Co she has gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of Law including taking on the role of Legal Assistant in the Conveyancing Department, but is able to turn her hand to deal with any other elements as required.
Carol supports a number of National and local Charities some of which include Guide Dogs for the Blind, RSPB, Dogs Trust and Linkage Community Trust. Carol is also a member of the National Trust and enjoys visiting the heritage buildings in her spare time.
